Charles Weed – (b.1970) American, led a somewhat nomadic existence as a young man, moving back and forth between Europe and the United States. He received his first drawing instruction in his native Minneapolis. But staying in one location for more than six months to a year did not seem to hold much interest for the young painter. After studying in Italy, he was back in the States for a brief spell. He then toured England to paint landscapes. In 1995, he returned to Florence to teach and that is where he would meet a young painter, Louise Camille Fenne with whom he would begin another kind of journey.
