Daniel E. Greene, N.A. – (b. 1934) American, has been elected to the Pastel Society of America's Hall of Fame. Representing the United States, his work was included in the first International Biennial of Pastel in San Quentin, France. In the category of oil painting he was awarded American Artist's Magazine's first lifetime achievement award and the Oil Painters of America named him to their Hall of Fame. The American Society of Portrait Artists presented him the John Singer Sargent award for life long dedication to the achievement of excellence in portraiture. H has been awarded the gold medal by the American Portrait Society. Mr. Greene was also the annual honoree of the Salmagundi Club and was presented their gold medal. In the winter of 2011, he will be awarded The Trailblazers Award from the American Forum for Realism and Fine Art Connoisseur Magazine. Mr. Greene's paintings and pastels are in over 700 public and private collections in the United States and abroad. He is undoubtedly considered one of America's finest realist painters of any generation.
