MARK ENGLISH

   
Mark English – (b. 1933) American, was born in Hubbard, Texas and attended the University of Texas before graduating from the Art Center College of Design in California. Before pursuing his fine art exclusively, Mr. English had become one of America's most famous illustrators, culminating in his election in 1983, to the Society of Illustrators' Hall of Fame. His work has graced the covers ofMcCall's, Redbook, Good Housekeeping, Time, The Saturday Evening Post andSports Illustrated among others, and he has created thirteen stamps for the United States Postal Service. Mr. English's moody and textured paintings of the American landscape have been the focus of his fine art in the last decade, and his work has been exhibited throughout the United States and abroad.
