ERIC L. CONKLIN

Eric L. Conklin – (b. 1950) American, meticulously renders the illusionistic style of Trompe l' Oeil oil painting using the same painstaking methods and techniques, as did the European Old Masters. Conklin's style consistently pleases the viewing audience as they look for and locate the surprise objects that reveal the cleverly concealed story. His research to find subjects to depict in his works has been both legendary and adventurous sometimes resulting in extraordinary finds. His paintings have won several awards including "Best of Show" at the York Art Association, in York, PA, the 2003 "Annie Award" at the Cultural Arts Foundation of Anne Arundel and he has exhibited extensively across the country. His works are in both private and corporate collections worldwide, including the Arkansas Territorial Restoration Museum in Little Rock, Arkansas, the Government House in Annapolis, Maryland, the official residence of the Governor and The Sherlock Holmes Museum in London, England. Mr. Conklin is a founding member of
The Trompe l' Oeil Society of Artists.
