Mersad Berber – (b. 1940) Bosnian, is a highly awarded artist, who has completed more than 100 One-Man Exhibitions and participated in numerous group exhibitions from the Far East, across Europe and now to the United States. The unique social and geographic position of his homeland has allowed him to draw on cultural references from as far into the past as the ancient Greeks and Romans, the Byzantine artists and the Renaissance masters. Through the intermingling of these motifs and a more modern commentary, he has created works captivating in their iconic mystery and intensity. His surfaces are as complex as his subjects, combining techniques from various times and places while maintaining an aesthetic and allure that has drawn collectors for the past 40 years.
